Staff Accountant – Capriotti's Sandwich Shop Corporate Office (Las Vegas, NV)

Full-time · $60,000/year + benefits · Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week · On-site

Love clean reconciliations and a well-run close? Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team at our Las Vegas corporate office. You'll keep the numbers right for our corporate and/or franchise locations — and help us keep sharing our passion, one delicious sandwich at a time.

About the role
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant supports daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and the month-end close for corporate and/or franchise locations. You'll make sure our financial data is accurate and work with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate financial statements.

We're looking for a team player with a "roll up your sleeves to help" mentality — someone with solid accounting knowledge who is always looking for efficiencies, builds on a foundation of accuracy, organization, and timeliness, and brings the utmost integrity to the work.

What you'll do
·         Import, review, and post Daily Sales Summaries from POS systems for multiple corporate and/or franchise stores.
·         Verify cash deposits and prepare weekly bank reconciliations for multiple stores.
·         Reconcile merchant credit card sales and DSP sales to deposits.
·         Review and post vendor invoices daily — uploading via CSV file or entering manually as needed.
·         Review store transactions so all costs are properly recorded, payments are properly applied, and everything is categorized correctly and supported by documentation.
·         Upload inventories to the accounting system and prepare entries for inventory transfers.
·         Update worksheets and prepare schedules for corporate and/or franchise stores.
·         Participate in the monthly financial close and review process, including period entries and schedule updates.
·         Research discrepancies and support ad hoc analyses, projects, and reconciliations as assigned.

What you bring

Required:

·         3+ years of experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger.
·         Proficiency with Excel.
·         Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
·         Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Nice to have:

·         Accounting or Finance degree, or related coursework.
·         Accounts payable (A/P) experience.
·         Familiarity with POS and accounting systems — especially Aloha POS, Restaurant365, and/or QuickBooks.
·         Food and beverage / restaurant experience (a plus, but not required).

Why Capriotti's

Capriotti's opened in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1976 and has grown into a national franchise. In 2026 we're celebrating 50 years of hand-crafted sandwiches — and the people who make it happen. Our core values guide how we work every day:

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

You are being given the opportunity to provide the following information in order to help us comply with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action record keeping, reporting, and other legal requirements.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

As a government contractor subject to Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA.
