- Â Manage daily accounting operations, including banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.Â
- Â Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process while maintaining a seven-day close timeline.Â
- Â Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Â
- Â Develop financial reports, KPI dashboards, variance analyses, and ad hoc reporting for senior leadership and investors.Â
- Â Oversee franchise-related accounting activities, including royalties, franchise fees, marketing fund deposits, franchisee bill-backs, rebates, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.Â
- Â Coordinate annual audit preparation and work closely with external auditors and tax professionals.Â
- Â Prepare and file annual personal property tax returns for multiple entities.Â
- Â Manage workers' compensation premium audits and related reporting requirements.Â
- Â Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, internal controls, and financial systems.Â
- Â Assist with implementation of new technologies, policies, and procedures.Â
- Â Mentor and support accounting team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Â Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Â
- Â 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.Â
- Â Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.Â
- Â Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Â
- Â Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Â
- Â Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to various levels of the organization.Â
- Â Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Â CPA designation.Â
- Â Experience within the restaurant, franchise, hospitality, or retail industries.Â
- Â Experience leading, mentoring, and developing accounting staff.
